We are swimming upstream when it comes to positive body image. Hounded with unattainable standards about what constitutes an acceptable body, many of us can get stuck in avoiding things we care about–like intimacy, movement, or social engagements. Feeling bad about your body prevents you from pursuing the life you want. And at the same time, you might blame yourself for being stuck.
In this workshop, Dr. Diana Hill will offer a fresh perspective on body image. What if you didn’t have to “like” your body to start living in it? What if you could pursue meaningful activities in the body you have, not the body you wish you have?
Drawing on strategies from Acceptance and Commitment Training (ACT), Dr. Hill will help you choose courage over avoidance, compassion over criticism, and willingness to live in your body without battling it. Ultimately, you will learn how to practice radical body acceptance and committed action toward body acceptance.
Due to differences in time zones, we understand that not everyone will be able to join the session live. But that doesn’t mean you need to miss out. You can still purchase the workshop and the recordings will be sent to you after the session.
