Key Takeaways

  • If you want to find a way of eating that works for your unique needs, first begin to notice your own eating patterns in order to bring awareness to the associated behaviors, emotions, and physical body sensations.
  • Our relationship with food is impacted by our judgments, rules about “good vs. bad” foods, our food-related values, and our societal body culture.
  • Take a compassionate perspective with yourself around your eating habits. You struggle with your eating because you care about your health, body, and life.
